Colourwhirl Inc. Youth  enriches  the community by teaching self-discipline through positive activities and programs designed to create an appreciation for the arts to elementary,  middle, and high school students.

                                    Projects

Writing  and  Performing  Projects  at  The  Menil  Collection and  Hermann Park's  Rose Garden  sponsored by grants from Culture Arts Council of Houston, Harris County & Texas Commission On The Arts.

                                         

  "What Are  You  Angry  About?":   A play sponsored  by  Bellaire  High School  African  American  Association and  Colourwhirl  Inc. Youth, directed and written by  playwright,  Larry Hunter.  2003

 
"Poetry  Jam Extravaganza"  sponsored  by  City of Houston Parks & Recreation & Colourwhirl Inc. Youth  directed by Larry  Hunter.  2003


"The Connection":  A play sponsored by Bellaire High School African American Association and Colourwhirl Inc. Youth, directed and written by Larry Hunter.  2004


"FlashBack":  A play performed in  old Historic Central High in Galveston, Texas co-written by playwright,  Shirley Servance & Larry Hunter,  sponsored by Agape Theatrical Productions & Colourwhirl Inc. Youth.   2004


"Colourwhirl Inc. Youth  Scholarship Reception  and Awards"  of   $1,000  to   two outstanding young cast members  for their performances  through out the years.  The Menil  Collection Library,  2004


"Colourwhirl Inc. Youth Cast" participated in Texas Non-Profit Theater Youth Conference held at Texas A&M.

*Colourwhirl Inc. Youth Theater and Poetry Summer Projects in the parks.

*Colourwhirl Inc. Youth Writing Project at the Menil Museum.

*Colourwhirl Inc. Youth sponsored New York playwright, J.E. Franklin  to Houston, Texas to  perform a one woman  theatrical  production  and present a serious of workshops at various schools and Colourwhirl Inc. Youth cast members.  The project was partially funded by Colourwhirl Inc. Youth,  Texas Commission On The Arts and Writers -In -The School.
