THE  TALKING  FISH
Mr.  Landrom  was excited about  the morning.  His kids gave him
a very expensive fishing rod for his birthday.   He rushed to his room
and put on his fishing cap, boots, vest, shirt and pants.  He was ready
                                        to go to
Lake Fish.  He said good-bye to  Mrs. Landrom who stood at the
front door  holding his fishing rod.  She smiled and handed the fishing rod
to Mr. Landrom.   "Get the frying pan ready,"  he joked.  "I feel real
lucky this morning, especially with this new fishing rod."   Mrs. Landrom
kissed him on the cheek.  "Have a very good fishing day and the frying
pan will be ready,"  she assured him........Mr. Landrom hurried to his
burnt  orange SUV that was parked in the driveway.  He pressed his car
alarm button in his hand  and opened the door.  He was as happy as
a Lark..........TO BE CONTINUED BY  MR. HUNTER'S STUDENTS!

Sneaky  was a good basketball player.  He loved the game.......He
even went  to bed with a basketball.  He dreamt, ate and slept the
game of basketball.  His grandmother always told him,  "don't put all
your eggs in one basket. " He just ignored his grandmother.......He
didn't want to do anything but play the game of basketball.   Sneaky was
in the fifth grade.  He was a good student until basketball took over his
little young mind.  But one day something happened that changed his

I   watch the cheerleaders practice at my school all the time. They
seem like they are having so much fun.  One day I'm going to
be  a cheerleader.  My sister is a high school cheerleader.   I am in
the 4rd grade  and I already know all the cheers at my school.
My sister tells me thatshe has to practice everyday and  do well in class.

But even if I try out and make the team, my parents don't have the money
to pay the team fees.  But I do  believein miracles.  Just maybe I will think
of something to raise some money.  After all my name is Miracle!

Mica  got up one morning from her bed.  She was  surprised when she
opened her eyes.  There was a new pair blue jeans  and a  sporty  top  folded
up on her bed.  It was her favorite  colors.   She smiled as she unfolded the
clothes  and held them against her.   She pranced over to the mirror and
blushed.  Mica hurried up and got dressed.   She ran down the stairs and ate
her favorite Cherrios cereal for breakfast.  She thanked her mother for the
clothes.  "Honk!  Honk!  The school bus driver blew it's horn.  Mica drank her last
drop of milk and ran out the door.  When Mica got to school, she went straight
to her locker.  She opened it and something funny happened..........................

I was having  a very good day until I fell and broke my leg.   It all started
when  I  climbed that old ladder  after  the annoying  squirrel  on  my  roof.
It was  my fault that  I slipped off the ladder.   I should have let that  annoying
pest go on about his business but I was trying to sleep.....If my neighbor hadn't
come home,  I would still be lying on the ground in my back yard, screaming for
help.  In all that pain,  I still  thought about  my Blue Bell Ice Cream I was going
to eat  after my nap!  I was angry and  in pain.  Suddenly the ambulance  came!
Two men  with a stretcher came and scooped me up like a shovel picking up
dirt!  "Ouch!"  Take it easy!  " I screamed.  They apologized....I asked them for
some Blue Bell Ice Cream.  They looked at each other,  slid me in the ambulance
and laughed.  Slam!  They closed the ambulance door and rushed me to the
Emergency  room at a hospital named Cream Medical Center.

money just like the humans.  When I am on land I don't hurt people but in the river
I am as viciuos as a lion in the jungle!   I am a very nice, humble and intelligent

human,  I dresses  up in my suit,  cool  brim hat  and I carries a Black Alligator
briefcase.  I am a very persuasive salesman.  I sell tooth paste and tooth
brushes.   I am a good example for the products because my teeth are very strong.
I demonstartes how  to have strong teeth by  using the product on myself.
Humans stand in line for my products.  One day something strange happens.  I begin

Jamu has a big piggy bank.  Before she goes to bed at night, she always drop  some
quarters and nickels in the small opening of the piggy bank.  She jumps in bed,  turn off
the lights and say, "good night" to the piggy bank.   The bank is a gift from her great
grandmother who is now  in heaven.   She loves her great grandmother so much that
the piggy bank keeps her close to the good old memories.    Jamu  doesn't let  anyone
else  put money  in the bank  or touch it.   She believes  that if this happens, all the
money in the bank will disappear.    One night before she goes to bed, she drop two
quarters and ten dimes in the piggy bank.  It seems like the piggy bank is smiling.
Jamu rub her eyes  because she thinks she is dreaming.   She open her eyes
wide and the piggy bank is wearing a bow tie, vest, and glasses!

that no one else dreamt of doing.   Children loved Downy.   They threw coins at
his feet to encourage him to do flips in the air.  To them, he was like  a magician
pulling a rabbit out the hat.    It was said by his uncles and aunts that Downy came
into the world flipping  and jumping like a leap frog.    His mother named him

                                         Downy stretched too much.
